Interactive Chinese Literacy Class
These levelled literacy classes use a spiral reading approach to help children gradually build character recognition while enjoying Chinese learning. Engaging picture books and interactive activities enhance formal reading skills and foster independent reading habits.
Program Details
The program is designed to sustain children's intrinsic motivation to learn Chinese while building their vocabulary base. Following a progression from listening and speaking to reading and writing, it gradually transforms oral language skills into written literacy. Once children develop a genuine interest and internal drive for learning, they can steadily accumulate a vocabulary of around 500 characters. This foundation allows them to transition from parent-assisted reading to independent reading, unlocking the gateway to self-directed learning. Self-directed learning is, after all, one of the most critical skills for thriving in an ever-evolving future.
